What is New Room?

Great Awakening.
That’s what this is all about.

Together, we are becoming a global fellowship of sowers for a great awakening.

From our lives and families to our towns and cities to the nations of the earth, we need awakening. Not a passing revival or a spiritual refreshing but a deep and sustained movement of the gospel of Jesus Christ, who alone can turn everything around.

The good news? The God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, is an awakening God. He has given us everything we need to sow for awakening:

The Word of God, The Spirit of God, The Church of God, and The Kingdom of God.

What are we learning? Awakening is more of a posture than a practice. It looks like travailing in prayer, banding in discipleship, and a humble passion for holy love.

That’s what this conference is all about. The New Room Conference, named after the first meeting house of the Wesleyan-Methodist movement in Bristol, England, aspires to be a humble meeting with a holy God. What began a few years ago with a couple of hundred people today exceeds a couple of thousand. Our hope is to encourage and equip this global community (and beyond) to recover its roots and extend its reach as an awakening movement, person by person, band by band, church by church, to every village, town, and city, in every state, country, and continent until the ending of all things broken and the beginning of all things new.

The New Room Conference is our effort in gathering pastors and leaders under one roof to convene conversations, curate content, call to prayer, and inspire a new generation of men and women who long to be a part of a great awakening.

John Wesley once famously said, “There is no holiness apart from social holiness.” Over the years, many have mistakenly asserted that he was talking about social justice.

He was actually talking about doing discipleship in the context of real relationships. In essence, you can’t become a real Christian alone. Enter: New Room Bands.

Stay in the know on all things New Room! We’ll send out helpful (but not annoyingly frequent) updates on the conference, gatherings, network, and New Room Bands.

  • This conference was the best one yet! To see the UMC and the Wesleyan movement become a Wesleyan revival is at the heart of my whole career as a pastor. Thanks for your hard work! It is paying off.

  • Those of us who attended are so on fire and filled with the Holy Spirit that I think we are contagious! I am so full of what had been poured over us that I have a hard time putting the experience into words. All I can say is GLORY!
